Unbreakable

Laws are often violated; either on purpose, through negligence, or lack of knowledge. However, there’s one that cannot be broken:

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” – Gal. 6:7 NKJV

It’s always been a profound truth, but today there are cultural forces pushing for a separation between cause and effect. It’s an attempt to avoid accountability for one’s own actions. But a follower of Christ is different. A disciple understands the importance of “cause and effect” and chooses to live according to biblical principles. Even with the wonderful reality of forgiveness, consequences can be unwelcome guests that linger for a long time.

For the disciple, the question isn’t whether something is culturally acceptable for “planting and cultivating”, it’s the question of what the harvest will look like. If we sow to the flesh, we’ll reap fleshly results; and if we sow to the Spirit, we’ll reap Spirit-produced results (Gal. 6:8).

So, to what harvest will your efforts be today? To the flesh or to the Spirit?

“And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” – Galatians 6:9 NKJV
